Jamie Oliver, the world renowned British chef who isn’t Gordon Ramsay finally opened a Pizzeria in Mumbai. It sounds amazing; until you realise he’s already opened two outlets in Delhi and Gurgaon, which quite frankly is a bit insulting. Delhi and Gurgaon; two cities so shady that between them they house the central government and Yo Yo Honey Singh. What’s the matter James, are we not good enough for you and your impeccable culinary legacy?
You’d think a restaurant opened by one of the most celebrated chefs of our time would be ridiculously overpriced, but surprisingly, it’s pretty reasonable. For the price of a medium sized pizza at Dominos (which comes with a complementary coke, breadsticks and stomach ache), you could eat a delicious Spicy Meatball Pizza with buffalo Mozzarella or some paneer monstrosity they came up with for the Gujaratis.
